Henry remained silent.
But tears rolled freely down his face.
Then he finally spoke again.
“Do you know one of those your friends wants everything you have?”
Sharon frowned immediately.
“What do you mean?”
Henry picked up his phone quietly.
“Listen.”
The moment Peace’s voice started playing from the recording, Sharon covered her mouth in shock.
Even me outside almost screamed.
I could not believe Peace actually went behind us.
“She is the client that called my private number from the website,” Henry said bitterly.
“What?” Sharon gasped.
“She was flirting with me shamelessly.” Henry said
Sharon looked completely broken.
“My love please I—”
Henry stood up immediately.
“Follow me.”
His voice was cold now.
He picked up a key and started walking toward the forbidden room.
Sharon followed behind him fearfully.
Then finally…
They stood in front of the same room he warned her never to open.
Henry turned toward her slowly.
“Sharon… among many beautiful women, my heart chose you.”
Tears rolled uncontrollably down his cheeks.
“Do you really think I would ever harm you?”
Sharon immediately burst into tears too.
“My love please… do not open it again. I do not want to know anymore.”
But Henry ignored her.
“I love you so much,” he continued painfully. “But you do not trust me.”
He inserted the key slowly.
Sharon held his hand tightly.
“Please stop… please…”
But Henry did not listen.
The sound of the lock echoed loudly.
My own heartbeat increased outside.
Henry slowly pushed the door open.
Then suddenly…
His body moved backward.
Another step.
Then another.
Before his legs suddenly gave way.
He collapsed instantly.
At the same moment, Sharon looked inside the room and let out a terrifying scream.
She slammed the door shut immediately.
But before she could move again, her legs gave way too and she collapsed beside him.
I rushed inside immediately after hearing Sharon scream.
The moment I entered and saw both of them lying in front of the room, confusion gripped me.
“What happened?” I shouted fearfully.
None of them answered.
My hands started shaking immediately.
Thankfully, they were still breathing.
I quickly called for a ride.
Luckily, the driver was nearby.
With his help, we carried both Henry and Sharon into the car and rushed them to the hospital.
Doctors immediately attended to them.
I waited for one hour but it felt like one whole year.
Finally…Sharon opened her eyes slowly.
